This hand made linocut print features a flock of Sanderlings flying over the shore. It was inspired by a walk at Gun Hill, Burnham Overy Staithe in Norfolk. I was looking for treasures along the strandline when I found a small sea urchin tangled up in the knotted wrack seaweed.
Printed with Sunset Yellow and Prussian Blue
This AP print is the last remaining print in this very popular sold out edition.
There are a few printing mistakes in the yellow ink and the foreground and a very small crease in the edge of the paper which could easily be covered during framing.- see photos.
An artist's proof is an impression of a print taken in the printmaking process to see the current printing state of a plate while the plate is being worked on by the artist and to test the colours of an edition. It will therefore differ to the rest of the edition. Because there are fewer of them in existence some art collectors deem them to be of more value.
