Norfolk Broads-01-AP-Second- Available from 10am - 7th March

Sale Price: £40.00 Original Price: £160.00
sold out

This print was created as a commission for the Norfolk Broads Authority to feature on the cover of their 2022 Guide. I was asked to create a print that showcases the rare species that are indigenous to the Norfolk Broads.

The print features the flowers Hemp Agrimony, Yellow Pond Lily, Branched Burr Reed and Milk Parsley.

The caterpillar of the Swallowtail Butterfly can be seen on the Milk Parsley and the Norfolk Hawker dragonfly is perched on the reed. A garden Tiger moth is in flight and a Red Admiral butterfly is feeding on the pink flowers of the Hemp Agrimony.

A Great crested Grebe can be seen in the water.

This is an Artist’s Proof/Second as there is a small printing error in the top right hand corner of the sky.

An artist's proof is an impression of a print taken in the printmaking process to see the current printing state of a plate while the plate is being worked on by the artist and to test the colours of an edition. It will therefore differ to the rest of the edition. Because there are fewer of them in existence some art collectors deem them to be of more value.

Printed with oil based relief inks on 300gsm soft white Somerset velvet paper.

AP for a Limited Edition of 15

Signed and dated on the front

Image size 30.5 x 37.5cm

Mounted size approx 36 × 37cm

Unframed - Unmounted
