I wanted to capture the beauty of the garden at Badgeney Cottage, the home where I grew up in the Fens. When my parents moved there in the 1970s, they created the garden entirely from scratch. At the time, all that existed was a single walnut tree and a small hedge.
Today, the garden is a thriving, idyllic cottage garden filled with more than 50 varieties of roses, along with an abundance of shrubs and flowering plants. It has become a haven for wildlife and a place rich in beauty, memories, and the changing seasons. This piece is a celebration of that special place and the love and care that shaped it over the years.
